ILP "Design" - Class Dogo

The link below gives an inside look into the resource, Class Dogo. Class Dogo is a website and app that allows teachers to share with their students, parents, and school leaders what they have going on in their classroom. Teachers can make posts, message parents, and assign work, all on class dogo. When I first heard about class dogo, through the grapevine, it sounded cool. However, it was not until I actually tried it for myself that I realized how useful, effective, and interactive, the app is, how much it does the same to make the classroom more interactive and communication with the parents more effective. In the link provided below, I show you how you can add your class and connect with your parents through messages and your story. I believe that class dogo is an awesome resource.  I recommend it to all teachers. https://voicethread.com/share/12190585/

5 Bloggin'

My initial experience using Diigo was nothing to rave about in my opinion. My first time using Diigo, I was able to bookmark important websites that I needed. Along with bookmarking the websites, Diigo allows me the opportunity to highlight things in the article, or website. With Diigo, I may annotate and write notes on the same page. What I do like about Diigo though, is that you may share your findings or bookmarking with the group of your choosing. The opportunity to share with a group on Diigo, allows one to connect to different resources that others have found. So far my experience blogging has been better than expected. I originally thought blogging was pointless and for sharing information with little importance. However, throughout my blog experience I have been able to share useful information about different technology applications and tools that can be useful in the classroom. My classmates have also been doing the same. All the students'...

Twitter Experience 4,

My early experience using Twitter for this EME course has honestly opened my eyes to a new world. In the beginning I used twitter for personal use, and to communicate with other students in my area, for surface level conversations, about stupid things. However, with my new Twitter, I have realized it can actually be used at a professional level, to communicate with other professionals to brainstorm ideas to improve your work. So far, I have been interacting with my classmates and the EME account. Conversing with these groups of people so far, has enlightened me to new resources that can help me when working with children in the future. What has been especially beneficial is that the EME account forces me to think about my experience with technology that I have not considered, or thought about. I believe that in my future career, Twitter can be beneficial by giving me resources and tips on how to progress myself in my profession, as well as progress the organization that I work for. T...

3. ELA Technology Standards

During the afternoons, on Monday - Friday, I work with the Boys and Girls Club after school. At the Boys and Girls Club, I work with a group of 12-15 2nd graders. Therefore, I looked up the ELA standards for grade 2. The ELA standards for 2nd grade seem pretty simple to me.  Although I am not a technology expert, I am able to, and would be prepared to teach, students how to use information gained from the illustrations and words in a print or digital text to demonstrate understanding of its characters, setting, or plot. This will be simple to me because throughout most of my years in k-12, I have been required to look at documents to determine the meaning, characters, setting, or plot. Throughout my college experience, I have gained a great deal of experience using information from digital to determine the meaning, characters, setting, or plot. Throughout my college experience, I have also had the opportunit...
