ISTE Digital Citizen Resource


This infographic, along with its accompanied web source/article is about the second student standard which motivates and encourages students to practice and smart digital habits. The infographic compares what is expected of a good citizen and a good digital citizen. This picture can be displayed in classrooms so students can have a daily reminder.

    I love how most of the rules are based on respect. I think it is very important to hear people out and realize other points of view without being judgmental and rude. I love the statistics as well explaining how it links in with every rule. This is a fantastic resource and I will definitely remember this link to look at more often.

For such reason, I decided to interview a 1st grade teacher on her use of technology in the classroom. Diigo so far has been a great tool and resource to use to share links and web resources. Diigo has been also a great tool to use when to look up other resources. With Diigo you can look for references using several different tags, separating them using quotations. Once you have found a resource that has been started that is relevant to you, you can see what others have posted or commented that stood out about the site. All of these points that I have covered is the reason that Diigo would be and effective and efficient for team members, classmates in a group. Diigo allows for users to create groups. In these groups, resources are only shared amongst group members. Powerpoint is a very useful tool and can be used to support learning at each level of Bloom's Taxonomy. To implement the first level, remembering, I would show my 2nd grade math class, a link to a video that would help them remember their multiplication facts.
